I have been playing the trumpet since I was eight, which is now quite a few years ago. In my time I have played in many different kinds of bands. When I was at school in Birmingham I played for the Birmingham Schools’ Brass Band, the Birmingham Schools’ Jazz Ensemble and the Birmingham Schools’ Symphony Orchestra. While playing for the latter I went on its prestigious trip to Japan in 2001. This was an unforgettable experience as we played concerts to packed halls all around Japan and got to meet the Crown Prince.

During my time at school I played a number of concertos, including: Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto and Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto. I hope to put a sound file of my Haydn performance up on here soon.

I also used to play in a ska-punk band called Codlocker that was pretty popular on the Birmingham ska-punk scene. Supporting legendary ska-punk band King Prawn was probably my favourite gig with this band.

Since school, I have kept my playing up and am now Principal Trumpet and Head of Brass with the Camden Chamber Orchestra (www.camdenchamberorcherstra.org.uk). This is a fantastic orchestra, led by the supremely talented Levon Parikian (more info – http://www.levonparikian.co.uk) and I have made many firm friends through this orchestra.

The picture at the top of this page is me playing the entrance music at my sister’s wedding last July (2012). I am available for hire to play concerts and weddings around the SE for a reasonable rate. If you would like to enquire about this then please feel free to drop me a line via the contact form below:
